i wan retired but .........donno lah........cosplay make me happy for a day.all my problems dissapear when i in character........hehehe

momo> yar!!! agree!! When you cosplay, you get to be in character (n sometimes not >_>) and you get to meet friends. After everything ended, start stressing again. (arg, homework not done. projects due tmr! exam next day blah blah)

juz started cosplaying at this yr's streetfest..so im quite a newbie...

I'm even more newbie. I'm going to start at this years AFA and EOY ><

And I'm only Sec 2 sumore but all my aunties think I look like I already took O' levels. My japan(jun 08') daoyou asked me how my first year of uni was. *headdesk* I go back to pri sch...Teacher: Orh, of cos I remb you! You O' level batch right? *facepalm*

Anyway, I'm very slack about my studies one. Tessie can be witness to that, cause I ordered my first costume from her yesterday. Only 1 day before the official start of my EOY papers. >< I started studying my geog at 10pm, sleep at 1 am. Took my papers at 8 am. Doing humanities exam on 4 1/2 hours of sleep = Not good.

But I also can be very spontanous. I joined sgCafe exactly a week ago, and five days after that already change costume plans twice and then ask for price quote >< and now already Settle everything ho-ho for the first costume already. It's only been 1 week. Ha.

Gosh.. you all seem like seasoned veterans in this field...

My first cosplay was earlier this year at Cosfest.. It sorta happened when a fren of mine sorta dragged me into cosplay cuz she didn't want to go alone =P at that time i had only 2 weeks to prepare my costume proper.. as such, i chose one of the easier characters to do from FF to compliment her, and went as Cid Highwind from FF:VII AC..

Cosplay really seemed like COSTpay after the event, as i realised i went overbudget on my intended clothings and prop materials.. thankfully half of it is now considered my "new clothes".. Overall, it was a really enjoyable event and a new experience.. was just glad there were ppl who recognised who i was cosing, and wanted to take a picture with me =)

a funny thing happened on the 2nd day though, when i went for a performance at the Esplanade right after Cosing.. The ushers there were like o_O at my spear.. when i gave them my ticket.. until one of them came up to me and say "Sorry sir, but i'm afraid you'd have to leave your weapon at the door".. co-incidentally there were some prestigeous ppl attending the performance as well.. and i had frens who were joking "So that's why your weapon's got to be confiscated" =.= not like i wanted to have it with me even if i could..

Looking forward to a more "typical" kind of 2nd experience? =P

Hehe.. well, i did get it back in the end.. only to have a few of my frens start swinging it arnd.. couldn't be helped i suppose.. even when i was walking arnd chinatown looking for some last minute supplies, i could hear the (commonly heard in anime) phrase "is that guy making a movie/live-action"? =P

next time i don't wanna be caught alone T_T
